1. Measure twice. Cut once……………well, maybe 3 or 4 times.
2. Test electronics before installation, then still watch them fry.
3. Research the colour scheme before painting then change the scheme and re-paint it at least 3 times.
4. Obtain an accurate book about WW2 Naval colour schemes!!!!!!!
5. Ni-Cad or Gell battery?????????? Neither……….elastic bands are much more reliable.
6. What scale to build? Take the actual size of the vessel you wish to build, divide it by the size of your forearm, add your age (quite important actually), divide that figure by “pie”, enrol at university for a degree in Astro physics……………………… then build something else. Furniture’s good.
7. When planning to build a workshop, entrust its construction to professionals then consider building it yourself.
8. When “planking” with timber………………use plastic.
9. When “planking” with plastic……………………….?????????????
10. If you can’t decide whether to fibreglass over the hull or not, after sniffing the resin for awhile you won’t worry anymore.
11. When deciding how much lighting and how many power points you want in your workshop………..only a thermo-nuclear reactor will suffice.
12. If it all seems too difficult to build……………it probably is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
